Maribel grew up living in Virginia and was a child of her parents and siblings, though the details of their lives are not available. As a child, Maribel wanted to be the next lawyer, and she aimed to pursue an occupation in the legal field. In fact, when she finished high school, she was accepted to the University of Virginia to pursue a major in German with a minor on Foreign Policy. Thomas Jefferson, who was one of the Declaration of Independence's writers, founded the Virginia University in 1819. Over a century of programs are offered by the school and was constructed around the Jefferson's Academical Village - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its main campus is spread over 1,600 acres, while its farm and research park encompass thousands of additional acres. After completing her degree, Maribel furthered her studies at New York Law School to study for an Juris Doctor.
